Generally, the general welding positioner should have the following properties:

1. Weldment displacement machinery and welding machine displacement machinery must have a wide speed range, stable welding operation speed, and good structural rigidity.

2. The welding positioner must be a certain degree of applicability for weldments of different sizes and shapes.

3. In the transmission chain, there should be a first-stage anti-stroke self-locking transmission, so as to avoid accidents of the weldment due to its own gravity when the power source is suddenly cut off.

4. Depending on the size and process method of the weldment displacement machine used with welding robots and precision welding operations, its placement accuracy and running track accuracy should be controlled between 0.1~2mm, and the highest accuracy can reach 0.01mm.

5. The return speed should be fast, but shock and vibration should be avoided.

6. There are good facilities for connecting electricity, water and air to avoid heat conduction and ventilation.

7. The entire structure should have good airtightness to avoid welding spatter damage, and the welding slag scattered on it should be easily removed.

8. Welding displacement machinery must have linkage control interface and corresponding self-protection function for centralized control and mutual coordination.

9. Mounting baselines are engraved on the worktable, and there are mounting slots, which can easily install various positioning devices and clamping mechanisms.

10. For welding displacement machines that are also used for assembly, the work surface should have high strength and impact resistance.

11. The welding displacement machinery used for electron beam welding, plasma arc welding, and laser welding should meet the special requirements of electrical conductivity, magnetic isolation, and insulation.
