Through the observation and research of the existing welding positioner, Weld-Max has made some analysis on the rotation and tilting movement of the welding positioner on the premise of investigating a large amount of data.

Rotary motion scheme of worktable:

The rotary motion of the welding positioner worktable is driven by the rotary shaft to rotate the worktable, and its driving mode can be implemented in two schemes.

Solution 1: Driven by DC motor, stepless speed change. When the motor is working, the rotation speed is transmitted to the worm through the pulley, and then the worm meshes with the worm wheel to transmit the rotation speed to the worm wheel, turns by the worm wheel and starts the rotation of the rotary shaft, so as to achieve the purpose of rotating the worktable.

Solution 2: Use hydraulic drive to drive the worktable for slewing movement. The hydraulic motor first passes through the reducer and then drives the worktable for slewing movement through gear transmission.

Table tilting motion scheme:

There are also two drive schemes for the tilt mechanism of the welding positioner.

Solution 1: After the motor is decelerated by the reducer, the worktable is tilted through the sector gear, or the worktable is tilted through the screw pair.

Solution 2: Use hydraulic cylinders to directly tilt the worktable.

Through the above design, the work requirements of the welding positioner can be satisfactorily met: the tilting movement of the worktable can achieve flexible movement, and the rotating speed of the worktable is relatively stable and uniform regardless of high-speed or low-speed rotation.
