Now, we are talking about the Conventional Welding Rotator. Those welding rotator are mainly use for welding pressure vessel, tank , shell, monopile, pipe . When put the workpiece on the drive roller and idler, the user can operate the hand panel to control the pipe FOR rotation or REV rotation, and the speed can be adjust from 100mm to 1000mm per min, the speed control is via Inverter, So make sure the speed rotate smooth. So the welder can do manual welding or automatic welding on the welding rotator. We can not only design the rotator for welding , but also can design it for sand blasting, painting depend on customer’s request.
Regarding the wheels use for the welding rotator, normally we use polyurethane, but we can according to customer’s request to use rubber or metal, depend on the welding method.The PU wheels adopt press-in structure , with 90-95 shore hardness providing both high and uniform loading capacity making it the ideal choice for welding automation where shuddering caused by weld-seam over tries will be greatly reduced.
Generally speaking, one set of welding rotator include 1 drive and 1 idler, for example, 1set of HGK-60 Welding Rotator, the drive roller loading capacity is 30Ton, the Idler roller loading capacity is 30Ton, total loading capacity is 60Ton and the drive roller rotating capacity can up to 60Ton. So we call it 60Ton Welding Rotator, the best pipe length for 1 drive and 1 idler roller is 6m, is the pipe is up to 6m, we suggest customer to buy 1drive+2 idlers or 3 idlers and so on.
In electrical design, we can also sync the drive roller together, it means you can operate 1 remote to control 2 drive / 3 drive rotating together.
All the gearbox we design 20% overload, in case customer rotating eccentric pipe. The gearbox need to be regular maintenance, in order to work longer and smooth.
The motors we choose AC motors, and sometime we can add the cooling fan or make it explosion-proof depend on the using. All the motors we make sure are covered, not only for safety, but also can dustproof .
Each set of welding rotator equip the control cabinet and control panel, customer can ask for wireless panel or foot panel as option. The electrical design is match with European standard, not only the design, but also the cable color, cable wiring, etc.
